About Us

It all started when…

Therapy Corner Store (TCS) was established in the Pacific Northwest in 2000. Founder, Joan Sorita has been a horse enthusiast for over 50 years. Also having a passion for healing it was natural for her to find outlets in the industry for Equine Sports Massage. Joan also acquired specializing in Canine and People massage. After almost 20 years in the Northwest TCS has grown to become one of the most successful Equine Sports Therapy businesses on the West Coast.

TCS (Joan Sorita) joined with fellow colleague, Lola Michelin to form NorthWest School of Animal Massage (2001). Together they created courses for small and large animal massage; with graduating students being able to be certified and licensed in animal massage all over the world. Due to the popularity of the schools curriculum,  they’re teaching expanded to classes being taught in Utah, Hawaii, California, Washington, and now World Wide. Education has always been the backbone for our practice.

In 2004 TCS became a family business. Joan”s daughter, Casey a graduate of NWSAM and NABCAAM Certified followed in Joan’s footsteps to become now a very sought after Equine Sports Therapist traveling World Wide. You can now find her primarily on the Hunter Jumper West Coast Circuit along with Spruce Meadows, Indoors back East and the Top shows for the NRHA.
