The Immersive Equine Workshop Application

Join Therapy Corner Store for this NBCAAM recognized continuing education workshop, designed specifically for equine bodywork professionals seeking to deepen their skill set, refine their techniques, and gain confidence in real-world application within a working barn environment.

This immersive, hands-on experience focuses on practical application in an authentic, day-to-day working barn setting. Participants will work within an active working barn setting, learning how to deliver effective bodywork while navigating the realities of professional practice — including coordinating with trainers and barn managers, respecting turnout and feeding schedules, adapting to barn routines, and tailoring sessions to each horse’s needs.

The mission of this workshop is to create an environment where students can find confidence in their skills, allowing sessions to be conducted solo in an appropriate and supportive setting. This structure empowers participants to trust their training, gain independence, and build confidence as they step into their journey within the equine bodywork and animal wellness business field.

Workshop Topics

To take learning a deeper step forward, students will have access to kinesiology tape, Multi Radiance lasers, and select aromatics to better apply their knowledge gained within the workshop topics into real sessions.

Workshop topics include:

  • Aromatics for equine support and recovery

  • Kinesiology taping for performance and rehabilitation

  • Cold laser therapy applications and safety

  • Targeted stretching protocols

  • Massage techniques for the equine athlete

  • Professional business etiquette and client communication in a working barn environment

These tools allow participants to move beyond observation and into meaningful, hands-on experience while refining technique, decision-making, and client interaction.

Instructors

  • Owner of Therapy Corner Store and licensed equine bodyworker, Casey Sorita travels nationwide on both the NRHA circuit and the USEF Hunter/Jumper circuit, providing top-tier care to elite equine athletes. Casey maintains a distinguished roster of performance horses across multiple disciplines, including reining and hunter jumper, with notable champions such as Cavaletto Z, winner of the West Coast $100,000 International Derby, and NRHA Futurity Champion The Fireman, ridden and trained by Kaci O’Rourke—the first woman in history to win the NRHA Futurity.

Casey and her work have also been featured on The Last Cowboy, the acclaimed documentary series following the top NRHA riders, their horses, and their care teams as they travel the country in pursuit of qualification for the prestigious Run for a Million competition. Her firsthand experience working within professional barn environments provides her with exceptional insight into the demands placed on high-level performance horses and the importance of consistent, results-driven bodywork.

In addition to her prestigious clientele, Casey is an FEI Permitted Equine Therapist (PET) who upholds the highest standards of professionalism and care in every setting she enters. Beyond her clinical work, Casey’s true passion lies in education and mentorship. She is deeply committed to sharing her knowledge with fellow bodyworkers and has successfully trained and guided many practitioners to thrive in their own businesses. Through her teaching, she empowers others with both the technical skills and professional tools needed to build sustainable, respected careers in equine bodywork.
